ASX-listed health data analytics company Beamtree has signed a contract to provide AI technology to improve clinical coding for Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG).
The A$3.6 million (US$2.4 million) contract includes Beamtree's PICQ, which automates the auditing of clinical record classifications;ps Evaluate opportunities for automation of clinical coding.

“This marks an important milestone for Beamtree as we expand our operations in Saudi Arabia into the private sector,” said CEO Tim Kelsey.
The UK government contract marks Beamtree's expansion into Saudi Arabia's private healthcare sector, after introducing its clinical coding technology to the country's public healthcare system.
The company has assisted the National Health Insurance Center in data quality audits of public hospitals and was also involved in developing the Kingdom's Health Information Strategy.
