The Computer Science and Engineering division of Fatehgarh Sahib's Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College (BBSBEC) has launched a one-week faculty development program (FDP) on “new trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning,” scheduled for July 21st to 25th, 2025. The sessions are provided by well-known academics and industry experts, offering both theoretical insights and practical exposure. The inauguration was blessed by Dr. Navdeep Kaur, professor and principal of Gurgrant Sahib World University, as Chief Guest. She urged teachers to adopt AI tools, embrace ongoing learning, publish research, and encourage students to explore new AI platforms. The event was hosted by Dr. Lakhvir Singh, Principal of BBSBEC who highly praised the initiative in the CSE department. He emphasized the importance of organizing such faculty-oriented programs to bridge the gap between academic curricula and rapidly evolving techniques. Dr. Jatinder Singh Saini, Head of CSE, welcomed participants and explained the purpose of the FDP. The program is designed to enhance teachers' knowledge and teaching capabilities through hands-on sessions, research-oriented learning, and collaborative engagement.
