“I'm extremely tech-savvy,” he says with a smile. “I tried out AI tools like ChatGpt. Sometimes just for fun. I wrote letters as if Ghalib, Ace Ventura, or even Marlon Brando were talking.”
But the underlying message is serious. Technology should help artists, and it does not replace them.
“Technology is a great tool. But it cannot replicate the soul. You cannot program your passion. So the roar of the live audience always wins. It's electricity, it's real,” he says.
Sami has lived in the United Arab Emirates for over a decade as he prepares himself to light up Dubai's largest indoor arena – says the city continues to inspire him.
“Dubai is open to everyone. Whether you're South Asia, European or Arab, the city makes you feel like you're at home.
When asked how he continues to reinvent himself in an era of algorithm-driven fame, viral trends, and AI-generated hits, Sami's response is humble but sharp:
“I still feel like a student. There's so much to learn, and the irony is that hunger has grown over time. When you're young, I think you'll be forever.
That creative impatience has earned him a loyal fan base.
“Some of my songs that I underestimated have become symbolic,” he admits. “I really don't know which tracks will connect. I follow my instincts and hope that it resonates.”
In an age of fleeting trends and short attention, Adnan Sami's enduring music offers something unusual, emotional connection.
And while Tech continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in music, Sami is a reminder that reliability is still important.
“If a zero talent person is completely dependent on auto-tuning, that's a problem. But if you're using it to finesse your performance, it's like putting on makeup before you go to the camera. It's a presentation and a deception.”
