Aston University is offering a new master’s program aimed at building understanding of how generative artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies can shape business models.

The program – MSc AI for Business Transformation – has been co-developed with industry partners through Aston’s Enterprise Innovation Center.

It aims to provide students with cutting-edge knowledge on AI technologies and increase their employability in today’s evolving job market.

AI is already impacting people’s daily lives, but it is also having a broader impact on businesses and their operations. In a rapidly evolving world, businesses need to embrace AI tools and prepare for an AI-driven revolution.

The program combines technical acumen with strategic business acumen to prepare graduates for dynamic roles driving digital transformation across industries and is delivered by the Aston Capgemini Center of Excellence for Enterprise AI.

Provide students with guidance on how to use tools focused on AI and analytics. These tools provide course participants with the skills needed to lead an organization’s business transformation process, along with essential leadership and change management competencies.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development sessions and earn the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals Certificate, which certifies foundational expertise in AI.

This course provides an applied understanding of how generative AI and emerging technologies can shape business models, improve performance, and support organizational culture change. Designed to address a gap in the market, this course provides a unique path to the future of AI in business.

Professor Leonidas Anastasakis, Dean of the School of Business Analytics and Information Systems, said:

“This course is designed to provide a framework on how to use AI and analytics-focused tools, along with essential leadership and change management competencies, to equip course participants with the skills needed to lead their organizations through their business transformation processes.”

Mike Forster, Vice President, UK Public Sector COO, Capgemini Invent, said: “Capgemini is delighted to sponsor Aston University’s new Master of AI for Business Transformation. This will be delivered through the Aston Capgemini Center of Excellence for Enterprise AI and will connect cutting-edge research to practical enterprise impact.”

“Building on the Center’s mission to bridge the ‘last mile’ of adoption, this program helps leaders move from generative AI experimentation to large-scale transformation supported by strong data foundations, governance, and responsible implementation.

“By combining AI and analytics capabilities with leadership and change management, and strengthening professional qualifications, this program develops the talent organizations need to deliver measurable value in today’s economy.”
