Responsibility to work cross-functionally by leveraging our current expertise in these computational areas to further develop this line of business by identifying, evaluating and adding new programs and products across these areas bear the The growth of this business area is expected to result in the establishment of new divisions within UES, Inc.

The role of Associate Director includes proficiency in either modeling and simulation, computational automation, autonomy, ML/AI, or software development, and practical knowledge (or willingness to learn) in the scientific and/or engineering disciplines. We need someone with a strong curiosity about Areas such as aerospace, materials, mechanical and electrical sciences, physics and biological sciences. This requires an individual who has experience in technical requirements review, technical management, mentoring (leading technical teams), and has an interest in identifying and developing training her tools to help others. Experience working on collaborative software projects, such as using revision control and collaboration tools, is preferred.

Requirements:

  • This position is working on a government project that requires US citizenship to access
  • Ph.D. Master’s degree in science or engineering (or master’s or bachelor’s degree in science/engineering with relevant experience)
  • At least 5-7 years of experience using data science tools in multiple application areas
  • Knowledge of machine learning tools in at least two programming languages ​​(i.e. Python, MATLAB, C++, FORTRAN, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of various computational disciplines such as databases/big data, computational modeling and data analysis, computer architecture, software engineering
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proposal writing and business development experience preferred
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and tools to streamline software development
  • Proven knowledge of technical leadership or instruction
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and innovative team environment
