Artificial Intelligence Will Make A Movie In Two Years – Variety

AI For Business

As artificial intelligence continues to disrupt the entertainment industry, many moviegoers are wondering when AI will make feature films. According to Joe Russo, co-director of Marvel movies like Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, that time may come in two years.

“I serve on the boards of several AI companies,” Russo told Collider. “I speak from my experience on the boards of those companies. [so] There are AI companies that are developing AI to protect you from AI. And unfortunately we are in that world and you will need AI in your life. we Whether we want to see it developed or not, people who are unfriendly to us may develop it anyway. The question, then, is how to protect yourself in that future. ”

When asked “how many years” before AI can “actually make” movies, Russo predicted “two years.” The director also theorized how advanced AI would eventually give moviegoers the opportunity to create different movies on the fly.

“Potentially, what you can do [AI] It’s clear that we design storytelling and use it to change storytelling,” said Russo. “So you have an ever-evolving story, whether it’s a game, a movie, or a TV show. I want a movie with a photorealistic avatar of Marilyn Monroe. I mimicked your voice and suddenly I had a 90 minute rom-com starring you. So you can curate stories just for you. ”

Russo’s latest project is Prime Video’s spy series Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The series will launch on his April 28th on the streaming platform.
