Archestra Inc., a startup providing a platform for artificial intelligence agents and model context protocol servers, today announced that it has raised $3.3 million to develop an open source security first platform for securely deploying AI agents and MCP servers in enterprise environments.
Archestra was founded in 2024 by Cereal founders Matvey Kukuy and Ildar Iskhakov. Matvey and Ildar were the founders of the incident management platform AMIXR, which was acquired by Grafana Labs in 2021.
Archestra offers an open source platform designed to help you securely connect AI agents to enterprise data using MCP. The MCP introduced last year by the Human PBC allows AI systems to integrate with external tools, databases and application programming interfaces.
However, if not properly controlled, there are serious security and compliance risks. Archestra addresses these challenges by providing an enterprise-ready solution that enables organizations to adopt MCPs safely without giving AI agents unlimited or unsecure access to sensitive systems.
The Archestra Platform acts as an “MCP Orchestrator” that adds important layers of security, orchestration, guardrails, context management, and dynamic authorization control, allowing businesses to set clear boundaries for AI agents' behavior, such as restricting access to specific datasets and workflows. The open source aspect of the platform provides transparency and allows businesses to inspect and trust their security models before they can be deployed in production environments.
Whether HR managers connect AI to employee onboarding systems or financial teams automate contract reviews, the company says the platform can enable organizations to realize the benefits of MCPs without exposing them to data leaks, non-compliance or operational disruptions.
“MCP has unlocked the new frontier of AI agents and is beginning a major shift across the IPAAS market. But today it's completely inappropriate for businesses.” “We're building a security-first solution that changes this. An open source platform means that, whether engineers or HR, can integrate AI agents into their workflows with a secure and impactful integration.”
The pre-seed round included Zero Prime Venture, Celero Venture, RTP Global Management and Aloniq Inc.
“Just as APIs have become the foundational building block of Internet infrastructure, MCPs are emerging as connective tissue to improve the context layer of AI tools within the enterprise,” said Ariel Rahamim, principal at Concept Ventures. “Archestra is building the infrastructure layer that this ecosystem needs.”
