Samsung's One UI 6.1 brings transcription assist functionality to the company's voice recorder app as part of Galaxy AI. This feature can transcribe audio recordings and also provide AI-generated summaries of those transcriptions for easier understanding. There is no doubt that this feature is very useful in daily life for many people. Well, Apple seems impressed that the tech giant is working on a copy of Samsung's Transcript Assist for iPhone with his iOS 18.

According to a new report from apple insider, The Voice Memos and Notes application in iOS 18 provides the ability to transcribe voice recordings. The two apps can also provide AI-generated summaries for these transcripts.

That's not the only feature Apple is copying from Samsung

We recently learned that Apple is working on an update to the Notes app for iOS, including the ability to record audio from within your notes. This is something Samsung already offers with its Notes app for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. So this is another feature that Apple is copying from Samsung. Apple is expected to announce iOS 18 at its WWDC on June 10th. It will be interesting to see what other features the company copies from Samsung in the next version of the iPhone operating system.
