“Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a start-up, or the world’s largest corporation, the message from our customers is the same: Claude is becoming increasingly important to the fabric of their companies,” said Krishna Rao, Anthropic’s chief financial officer. “This funding reflects the incredible demand from these customers, and we will use this investment to continue building the enterprise-grade products and models our customers have come to rely on.”
It’s been less than three years since Anthropic made its first dollar in revenue. Currently, our run-rate revenue is $14 billion, a number that has increased more than 10x each of the past three years.

This growth has been driven by our position as the intelligence platform of choice for enterprises and developers. The number of customers spending $100,000 or more annually with Claude (represented by run-rate revenue) has increased 7x over the past year. And companies that start using Claude for a single use case (API, Claude Code, or Claude for Work) are expanding that integration across their organizations. Two years ago, more than a dozen customers spent more than $1 million with us on an annual basis. Today, that number is over 500. Today, eight of the Fortune 10 companies are Claude customers.
Claude Code represents a new era of agent coding and fundamentally changes the way teams build software. Claude Code was released to the public in May 2025. Today, Claude Code has grown to over $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue. This number has more than doubled since the beginning of 2026. The number of weekly active Claude Code users has also doubled since January 1st. A recent analysis estimates that 4% of all GitHub public commits worldwide are authored by Claude Code. This is double the rate from just a month ago.
Claude Code’s enterprise subscriptions have quadrupled since the beginning of 2026, with enterprise usage now accounting for more than half of Claude Code’s total revenue. The same abilities that make Claude exceptional at coding also enable him to work in other new categories, such as finance and data analysis, sales, cybersecurity, and scientific discovery.
In January alone, we released over 30 products and features, including Cowork, which brings Claude Code’s powerful engineering capabilities to a broader range of knowledge work tasks. Cowork includes 11 open-source plugins that allow customers to make Claude a specialist for a specific role or team, such as sales, legal, or finance. We’ve also expanded our reach to healthcare and life sciences, making Claude for Enterprise available to organizations operating under HIPAA.
“Since our initial investment in 2025, Anthropic has focused on agent coding and enterprise-grade AI systems, accelerating progress toward large-scale adoption,” said Philippe Laffont, Founder and Portfolio Manager at Coatue. “The team’s ability to rapidly scale the product further positions Anthropic as a leader in the highly competitive AI market.”
Claude’s frontier setting intelligence continues to evolve. Our latest model, Opus 4.6, released last week, empowers agents to manage entire categories of real-world work and produce professional, polished documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Opus 4.6 is also the world-leading model for GDPval-AA, which measures performance on economically valuable knowledge work tasks in finance, law, and other fields.
“Anthropic is the clear category leader in enterprise AI, demonstrating breakthrough capabilities and setting new standards for safety, performance and scale to drive long-term success,” said Choo Yong Cheen, Chief Investment Officer, Private Equity, GIC.
Series G will also help you scale your infrastructure by making Claude available to your customers wherever they are. Claude remains the only frontier AI model available to customers on all three of the world’s largest cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (Bedrock), Google Cloud (Vertex AI), and Microsoft Azure (Foundry). We train and run Claude on a variety of AI hardware, including AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs. This means you can match your workloads to the chip that best suits them. The platform’s versatility translates to improved performance and increased resiliency for enterprise customers who rely on Claude for critical work.
Demand from businesses and developers reflects the trust they place in Claude for the work that matters most. As AI moves toward implementation at scale, we will continue to build models, products, and partnerships to lead the transition.
