Ancora Heart has formed a strategic partnership with digital health company Egnite to facilitate patient enrollment in the AccuCinch system’s CORCINCH-HF pivotal clinical trial.
This trial was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the AccuCinchventricular Recovery System, a transcatheter device intended to help restore the structure and function of the enlarged left ventricle of the heart.
The Christ Health Network in Cincinnati, Ohio was selected as the first site to deploy Egnite’s Trial Accelerator artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the CORCINCH-HF trial to identify eligible patients.
The company also plans to deploy Egnite’s AI technology to other participating CORCINCH-HF sites to support patient identification and study enrollment.
Egnite President and CEO Joel Portice said:
The Trial Accelerator technology uses AI and big data processing to expedite patient recruitment in clinical trials.
Automatically screen thousands of patients against trial parameters to help identify more trial candidates without the support of hospital staff.
Ancora Heart Chief Commercial Officer Mark Miles said:
“This partnership with Egnite and the Christ Health Network will allow us to deploy AI tools such as Egnite’s Trial Accelerator to expedite the identification of eligible candidates for the CORCINCH-HF exam.”
