Content-forward navigation and new destinations
The Prime Video home screen redesign introduces a content-focused navigation bar with dedicated destinations such as “Home,” “Movies,” “TV Shows,” and “Live TV.” Additionally, a new “Prime” destination has been added that showcases content available at no extra cost with your Prime membership. These changes are intended to help users quickly find the content they're looking for without excessive browsing.
This update addresses a common user pain point by clearly distinguishing between content that's included with your Prime membership and content that's included with add-on subscriptions or rentals. This distinction is intended to reduce confusion and increase user satisfaction. Additionally, TV show and movie summaries have been simplified using large-scale language models (LLMs) to provide quicker descriptions that are easy to understand at a glance.
