Sensor CFD AI – Hot Aisle Containment

barcelona, spainApril 29, 2026PR log –This integration of on-premises GPUs, large language models (LLM), and image recognition technology redefines how facility managers and IT operators interact with, protect, and optimize data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. The full suite of AI tools will make its global debut today at the Open Computing Project (OCP) EMEA Summit in Barcelona from April 29th to 30th.

Next generation autonomous data center operations

Managing modern data centers requires insight into operational performance. Analyze massive amounts of telemetry, maintain strict security, and keep complex databases fully in sync with reality. Typically, DCIM and digital twins can suffer from data overload with more information than operators can understand. AKCP’s Quicklime DCIM automates these challenges through five core AI technologies:

  • Sensor CFD™ AI: Capture live power and thermal data directly from the rack and generate near real-time computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models. On-premises LLM analyzes the output and goes beyond simply identifying hot and cold spots to diagnosing the root cause and prescribing remediation steps.
  • Capacity AI: Taking the guesswork out of IT provisioning, Capacity AI scans the entire digital twin based on user-defined parameters (required U-space, power, cooling). Bypass manual audits and complex spreadsheets to automatically recommend the top three optimal rack locations for new deployments, maximizing resource utilization and preventing capacity retention.
  • Video AI: This feature transforms standard surveillance cameras into intelligent, highly customizable “virtual sensors.” By using full LLM to understand the context, operators can enter natural language prompts, e.g. “It monitors camera feed 1 and alerts anyone touching the cable.”) Monitor specific actions, compliance violations, and physical security threats without alert fatigue.
  • Configuration AI: Configuration AI reduces the learning curve and complex menu systems and allows users to prompt the DCIM platform using conversational language. Operators can simply ask the software to retrieve historical data, create virtual sensors, and build custom dashboards in seconds, significantly speeding up management workflows and reducing training overhead.
  • Asset AI: To prevent Quicklime Digital Twin from becoming an obsolete “digital orphan,” Asset AI uses AI-enabled image recognition to automate audits. When a technician uploads a photo of a physical rack, AI compares it to a digital database, identifies discrepancies, compares “before and after” conditions, and generates suggested updates to keep inventory in sync with reality.

Empower operators and maximize efficiency

“With this suite of AI tools, Quicklime DCIM becomes more than just a monitoring tool, it becomes an active and intelligent partner in your data center operations.” AKCP Chairman Nicholas Baroukulov said:

“By automating thermal analysis, capacity planning, physical security, and asset auditing, we are significantly reducing operational overhead. Our customers can now focus on implementing solutions and expanding their infrastructure instead of endlessly analyzing data.”
