Ajman Transport Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with e& to strengthen collaboration in digital innovation and artificial intelligence and support the continued development of the transport ecosystem and corporate services, in conjunction with the 3rd Government Cybersecurity Summit in 2026. The contract was signed on behalf of e& by Mr. Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi, Acting Director-General of Ajman Transport Department, and Mr. Saud Karmostajeh, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Government and VIP Department.
The agreement aims to leverage advanced technology to improve operational efficiency and service quality by exploring agent AI applications to support back-office functions such as automating human resources and financial processes, responding to employee inquiries, supporting leave and payroll management, and contributing to financial reporting.
Ahmed Saqr Al Matrooshi said the agreement marks a strategic step towards accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies in the transport sector and underlined the authority’s commitment to leveraging AI solutions to improve operational performance and improve service quality.
He added that the partnership will contribute to creating a more agile and innovative operating environment by leveraging the latest technologies in smart planning, data analysis and improving user experience, while also supporting the development of national capabilities in artificial intelligence. He said the agreement reflects the authority’s commitment to strengthen cooperation with strategic partners, support the direction of digital transformation and contribute to achieving the Ajman government’s vision for smart and sustainable government services.

It also includes the development and evaluation of smart solutions for planning and scheduling bus routes through analysis of operational and passenger data, helping to improve fleet efficiency, enhance capacity planning, and provide more flexible and sustainable transport services. Additionally, the agreement covers the use of AI in video and behavioral analysis using computer vision technology to support monitoring of passenger flow, strengthen compliance with safety standards, improve crowd management, and enhance operational oversight of the Authority’s facilities and network overall.
In the area of capacity building, the MoU outlines opportunities to develop specialized AI training programs aimed at upskilling employees and preparing them to meet the demands of digital transformation.
