Following performances in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and the Kennedy Center, the AI vs. Human Roast Battle will take place in San Francisco on June 26th. This interactive comedy event pits human performers against machine learning AI in a battle of insults, jokes, and futuristic absurdity.
AI vs. Human Roast Battle brings a unique blend of comedy and technology to life at MAB in San Francisco on Friday, June 26th.
Presented by Harmon Leon and Colleen Marbles, this live event asks the provocative question: “Can artificial intelligence overtake humans?”
Broadcasting directly from New York City, the show pits human rappers against machine learning AI in comedic roast battles aimed at exploring the increasingly blurred lines between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
Hosted by Harmon Leon, a journalist, comedian and storyteller whose credits include This American Life and The Howard Stern Show, the evening promises a mix of stand-up comedy, technology and audience interaction.
Billed as “a comedy show entirely created by AI,” the production will incorporate a variety of AI-generated entertainment throughout the evening, including dancing robots, celebrity judges, and machine-generated content designed specifically for the event.
The show has previously appeared at venues and festivals including the Kennedy Center, Los Angeles’ Ice House, Santa Cruz Comedy Festival, Toronto’s Comedy Cave, Poptech, NFT.NYC, Arizona State University’s Surviving AI conference, and the McCain Institute.
The concept is also attracting national attention. The New York Times called the event “a novel showdown of wit and wit, and the future of comedy may be synthetic.”
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the creative industries, Roast Battle of AI vs. Humans provides viewers with a humorous and interactive look at the evolving relationship between technology and human performance.
