AI Videos have nothing to spark discussion and tour news

AI Video & Visuals

The 3x-Grammy nominated four #1 rock outfit (@nothingmoremusic) caused quite a stir over the latest video, “Existential Horror,” before it was officially released yesterday (August 18th).

For videos posted on Better Noise Music's YouTube page, this is a boundary band affiliated with AI director/editor Jurassic Smoothie. After only the teaser trailer was shared (Friday, August 15th), online debate about the use of AI to create music videos and art was quickly sparked. The next day, singer Johnny Hawkins spoke with Rockfeed to share his thoughts personally.

He also commented on the band's Instagram in response to fans' complaints about the AI medium. “AI didn't make a video for us. We hired an artist to plot visions, themes and visuals. The artist used AI to start generating images he edited together in multiple versions of notes, and tailored it to the viewer's visual experience,” adds Hawkins. “There is a big difference between *using* to create something on a machine and creating something with a machine. Nine Inch Nails are the perfect example of a prolific artist for sculpting sounds using a machine.

More than that – Existential Fear (official video)

The release of “Expential Dread” will be on the Mediabase “Active Rock” chart featuring Billboards “Mainstream Rock Airplay” and “Freefall” (Feat. Chris Douthtry) shortly after the band that won the fourth #1 from the Carnal Album. A new version of “Freefall,” featuring six times the platinum certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, has been released at all digital outlets.

Johnny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Volellunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums) make a perfect attack with song-soaring melody and unique soundscapes that surprise raw emotion. Carnal – Released on 28 June 2024 at Origie – has accumulated over the past 133 million rivers. The album was “one of the band's most eclectic releases to date” (Blabbermouth) and praised the album as “an energetic rock anthem that captures the band's infectious, living capabilities” (Knotfest).

Carnal's Deluxe Edition will be released on March 28th at all digital outlets and is also available on CDs and vinyl. Carnal (Deluxe)'s other five bonus tracks include a live version of “Angel Song,” recorded from the band's set at Aftershock Festival 2024. A remix of two songs from Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria) and Justin “JD” Deblieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White). Plus, the new song “We All Die” was released on February 7th. A new version of Bracing's “Freefall,” featuring six times the platinum certified rock artist Chris Daughtry, was released on March 28th at all digital outlets. The “Free Fall” video touches on the story of a firefighter struggling with mental health, and unexpectedly discovers a new life orientation after connecting opportunities with a homeless dog.
