Does the viral video show actual footage of a bear fighting a tiger over a moose carcass? No, it doesn’t. The video contained multiple indicators that strongly suggested AI. Three online detectors estimated the probability that the clip was the product of generative AI between 97% and 99.9%.
This claim was published in a post published in X on April 23, 2026 (archived here and here ).
Bears are gentle by nature, but I didn’t know they could actually take down a tiger. Wow, this is shocking.
The post included a video. As of this writing, the thumbnail on X looks like this:

This was about the editing software and was not necessarily indicative of the authenticity of the video.
However, multiple AI detection tools suggested that this clip was generated by AI.
Lead Stories tested clip thumbnails hive and Moderation, Sightengine, and AI. These AI detectors showed a 99.9%, 97%, and 99% chance that the clip was AI, respectively.

At the 00:05 mark, you can see the bears and tigers’ bodies deforming in a manner consistent with typical AI video glitches.
