An AI-generated video of a soldier crying on the battlefield has been falsely circulated as real footage of an Indian soldier on the India-Pakistan border pleading with the Indian government not to confront Pakistan and calling its troops “extremely dangerous.”
BOOM found that claim to be false. Multiple AI detection tools have confirmed that the viral video was generated using artificial intelligence.

Prime Minister Modi is sleeping in an air-conditioned room while we are sent to the Pakistan border to die. Please help me, Modi Sarr. The Pakistani army is very dangerous. what we found
Viral videos are generated by AI: We performed a related keyword search but did not find any reliable news reports corroborating the same.
We discovered unnatural eye movements when soldiers blinked. Inspired by this, we tested viral videos with Hive Moderation, a tool designed to detect AI content manipulation. Hive Moderation found that the video was generated using artificial intelligence 87% of the time.
Next, we extracted the audio from the viral video and ran it through the Hiya Deepfake Voice Detector tool. Hiya only gave us a reliability score of 1 out of 100, indicating that the audio was generated entirely using AI.
