AI tools are more accurate than doctors than 4X
Microsoft says its latest medical AI tools are better than four times more doctors than the group of experienced doctors. Designed to handle complex diagnostic puzzles, the system applies a step-by-step inference model to check symptoms, test results and case history to reach the diagnosis. This test relies primarily on multiple choice questions and prefers memory for deeper understanding. Early studies suggest that benchmark tests can perform up to 400% out of performance than doctors. While it does not replace physicians, Microsoft sees this as a major leap in clinical decision support. The model is still under test, but its promise adds to the growing interest in AI-powered healthcare, especially in low-resource configuration and overloaded systems looking for smart diagnostic shortcuts.
Google attracts students
Google is opening a suite of AI tools for younger users. As part of a broader update to Google Classroom, Tech Giant now has access to over 30 Gemini-powered tools, including NoteBooklm, an AI research assistant that helps users under the age of 18 to create text summaries, question generation, study guides, and podcast-style audio overviews. Teachers with Google Workspace accounts will get dedicated Gemini tabs for drafting lesson plans, math problems, and even school emails. Google claims that safety measures and age-specific controls are burned down. For now, the deployment suggests that future classrooms are not only digital, but they could also be jointly acquired by bots.
Spotify's hit AI Generated?
Spotify's algorithm may just have found that match – it was created by another algorithm. Velvet Sundown, a retro neo-psycho/folk rock act, is attracting attention because it not only has its groovy LO-FI sound, but also because many believe it is fully produced. With streams of over 9 larks, the band is growing their fan base despite no confirmed identity or official media coverage. News reports and experts (Redditers) suggest that the tracks were likely created using AI-generated vocals and instrumentation, perhaps with the help of generated music models. UNESCO AI Art Class
What happens when centuries-old culture meets cutting-edge technology? UNESCO and Jeju-ju, South Korea, want to know. Their new initiative, Jeju Culture Global AI Art Class, invites international youths to reinterpret traditional Jeju heritage using AI tools. From AI-generated brushwork to neural network-infused folklore, the project blends technology and storytelling to deepen cross-cultural understanding. Started in collaboration with local artists and educators, the pilot programme presents a series of workshops, virtual exchanges and global art showcases. At a recent demo held at Macao, you press the button on the dice roller, look at the results, and respond with a thumbs-up if your human opponent wins. Unlike purely a mechanic robot, the Alphabot 2 is designed for social engagement and combines responsiveness with situational awareness. While still in the research phase, bots suggest a future in which machines are not just tools but companions. Whether it's in the elder care, education or hospitality sector, the ability to “read the room” may be as important as dexterity in no time.
