Microsoft’s latest Work Trend Index reveals that AI, alongside tools like Co-Pilot, is poised to create an entirely new way of working in New Zealand.
According to a new report from Microsoft, as the intensity of work increases, the pace at which we do business is faster than humans can keep up, and this is impacting innovation. But the findings of the 2023 New Zealand Labor Trends Index report are: “Will AI work?” We also confirmed that employees and leaders around the world see AI as an opportunity, not a threat.

Digital debt is sacrificing innovation: More than half of New Zealanders (58%) struggle to find the time and energy to get work done, and those workers are business leaders (68%) ), who are 2.6 times more likely to say they struggle with innovation) express concerns about this.

Across New Zealand leaders (76%) say the employees they hire will need new skills to prepare for her AI growth.

Copilot for Whiteboard makes meetings and brainstorming in Microsoft Teams more creative and effective. Using natural language, you can ask Copilot to generate ideas, organize them into themes, create designs that bring your ideas to life, and summarize whiteboard content.
By integrating DALL-E, OpenAI’s image generator, into Copilot for PowerPoint, users will be able to ask Copilot to create custom images to support their content.
Copilot for Outlook provides coaching tips and suggestions on clarity, emotion, and tone to help users write more effective emails and communicate with more confidence.
Copilot in OneNote uses prompts to plan, generate ideas, create lists, and organize information so your customers can easily find what they need.
