Westminster, Colorado. Maxar Intelligence has won a contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Luno and has announced a program that will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide automated object detection services.
Under the agreement, Maxar will provide AI/ML-generated object detection at numerous global sites to support NGA spatial and temporal geographical information analysis, the statement reads. The initiative will focus on identifying and classifying objects such as aircraft, ships, ground vehicles, and rail vehicles, as well as identifying trends and anomalies from satellite images.
