Outbound AI, a Seattle-based company that provides AI-powered virtual agents that perform administrative tasks, has announced $16 million in seed funding.

Madrona Venture Group and SpringRock Ventures co-led the round, with participation from Ascend, Pack Ventures, Epic Ventures, Tacoma Venture Fund, Locke Capital and KCRise Fund.

Another conversational AI platform is Hero. It provides a call center for healthcare providers and leverages insights from patient interactions to enable automated conversations with patients via conversational AI and real-time analytics. The company announced the funding in May. $20 million in Series B funding led by Macquarie Capital, bringing the total amount raised to $35 million.
