We also plan to have an AI news anchor in case a world full of AI actors and robot dogs isn’t enough. According to Futurism, Kuwait’s English-speaking news outlet Kuwait News has unveiled his AI news anchor named ‘Fedha’. The main job of the blonde artificial presenter is to share the latest news and innovative content.
In the AI news anchor’s first video, a very realistic blonde woman in a simple white t-shirt and blue jacket shares the news with a pleasant smile. Her subtle mannerisms and down-to-earth features do a double take to see if she’s real: Fedha (named after the metal that means silver in Kuwait) is artificial If you didn’t know that she’s just average news, you might think she’s an anchor.
In her first video, the AI news anchor asked viewers what kind of news they would like to hear and encouraged people to share their opinions with Kuwait News. This triggers flashbacks to her Tay, the artificial intelligence chatbot that unleashed on her Twitter in 2016. In a matter of hours, the trolls of the world had to destroy a seemingly harmless chatbot, turning it into an abusive racist.
Artificial intelligence is certainly the way of the future when it comes to mindless automated tasks, but it raises ethical concerns when it comes to replacing humans in traditional roles like media. Or will AI newscasters give Kuwait News journalists more time and more time to do more research and expand their distribution? Free up your costs?

There seem to be endless possibilities for how society might use artificial intelligence. Hopefully all of that is for the greater good of mankind. For example, DeepNash showed off his intelligence by learning how to play the classic board game Stratego A company called DoNotPay has created an artificial intelligence legal assistant to help people with speeding tickets. Using AI in these scenarios is fascinating and helpful, but imagining how AI could become intelligent is a concern.
Fedha works as an AI news anchor, but automated news feeds may filter out content viewers don’t necessarily want to see, or show viewers only a limited view of the news I have a concern. In some ways, this is similar to TikTok’s algorithm. If you continue to watch content based only on your primary interests in social media apps, you will find less and less other news that is important or valuable.
Another potential concern with the new AI news anchor is that external parties could hack Fedha. If a hacker can control his Fedha news feed, he can share any information or news he wants, whether it’s real or not. Whatever you say about obsolete human newscasters, at least they can’t be hacked.
