Jaipur: In a transformative step in the mining sector, the state government will launch a pilot project to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for state mineral exploration. The first exploration will be carried out in Birwara and Bharatpur districts. The Principal of Mines and Geology, Travikant said, “This project will be carried out by the Rajasthan Mineral Exploration Trust (RSME), in cooperation with private exploration agencies in response to the central government. Potential zones of critical and strategic minerals will be identified through AI-based analysis of these regions. The state is currently leading the country in major mineral auctions and has witnessed a massive surge in mining revenues. With the continuous extraction of 82 mineral types and 57, the government aims to accelerate the exploration and mining of mineral wealth beneath the surface.“Drilling and chemical analysis will be carried out where AI has been identified. Based on the findings, mining blocks will be prepared for auction. Unlike traditional exploration methods that are time-consuming and expensive, AI integration will ensure scientific accuracy, save labor, resources,” Ravikant said.Based in Hyderabad, Critical Mineral Tracker is a private agency that violates the central government and conducts exploration by analyzing data from a variety of sources, including government records, satellite mapping, and underground intrusion radar.
