Iim Udaipur has partnered with Bhashini, a Japanese language translation mission to advance Indian language artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
The institution's overall initiative is to create regional hubs, improve underrated language datasets, and promote research into language and language technology. The goal is to build skills between students and researchers and collaborate with the local community to develop innovative language solutions.
India Management Institute (IIMU), one of India's fastest growing and globally recognized management schools, announced on Thursday a series of groundbreaking collaborations with major national institutions.
These partnerships are designed to enhance India's capabilities in data analysis, policy surveillance and artificial intelligence.
Cooperation with the Ministry of Statistics
IIM Udaipur served as a knowledge partner for the Data Innovation Lab, in collaboration with the Ministry of Statistics' Ministry of Implementation (MOSPI) in the first major agreement.
Through this collaboration, students, researchers and faculty will work to solve real statistical challenges. The partnership aims to promote innovation in data analytics through collaborative research, workshops and hackathons.
Niti Aayog strengthens policy
Additionally, the Institute's Center for Development Policy Management (CDPM) has signed an agreement with the Development Monitoring and Assessment Office (DMEO) of Niti Aayog.
The partnership focuses on strengthening India's policy oversight and evaluation framework by adapting global best practices to the Indian context. IIMU will help develop toolkits, develop training programs for policymakers, and provide technical assistance to government ministries.
Professor Ashok Banerjee, director of IIM Udaipur, explained that these strategic partnerships are consistent with the Institute's vision of creating meaningful social impacts.
He said by integrating academic excellence with policy requirements and innovation, IIM Udaipur aims to enhance India's data and valuation systems while promoting language diversity through AI-driven solutions.
