The UK, a co-host of the event, AI Safety Summit with Seoul, Korea This week, we are strengthening our efforts in the region, with our second site opening in San Francisco. AI Safety Research Instituteis a UK-based organization founded in November 2023 with the lofty goal of assessing and resolving dangers in AI systems.

Generative AI Services and other applications rely on the underlying model. It is interesting that the UK has chosen to base itself in the US to address AI safety issues, even though it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the US. One explanation is that proximity to construction sites will help understand the projects and promote the UK to interested companies. This is huge, as the UK sees artificial intelligence and related technologies as a gold mine of potential for investment and economic growth.
