March 2017
Why did you set up a business?
As far as I can remember, I have been fascinated by technology. My dad was a computer consultant, so I got his hands on me to computer, and in 1991 I discovered that I could hack computer games (dune2) to create custom levels, it felt magical and I was engrossed in the power of computers and the ability to influence them.
It led the international expansion of Upwork's enterprise offerings. It was an exciting business with the “future of work” on the strapline – even more exciting for me was that they weren't beginning to be involved in the next wave of technology that really represents the future of work for me.
I have seen the extraordinary possibilities of Agent AI, the opportunity to create unfair benefits in every corner of the company and enable clients to rethink their growth.
That window to harness the arrival of clear technology in these times was too good to overlook, so I bet on persuading Oli (who worked with me in various roles across Caterpillar and Upwork) to build a future.
How many people work for you?
Five
What do you think is your USP?

Why do people think it's important to use local shops and businesses?
Working with local businesses, the money remains local and those businesses employ local people, so there is a very high chance of good. Strong relationships, partnerships, and friendships are strengthened by regular contact.
