Modern dating is difficult enough given ghosters and breadcrumbs who threaten to break the hearts of singles.

But now there is a new landmine that love troubled people face in their quest for love. It’s a chatbot that infiltrates dating apps.

A woman shared a screenshot on Facebook of her Tinder profile, which she claimed may have been created by artificial intelligence.

The “male” profile features a cheeky shirtless mirror selfie, showing off perfectly sculpted arms and rippling abs.

An accompanying bio describes him as a 24-year-old engineer who aspires to “ignite the sparks of laughter, wanderlust and true connection.”

“This guy can’t be real,” a bewildered woman wrote after sharing a questionable profile online. “Did he use his AI filter on that photo?”

The post received hundreds of comments, with some skeptical that it wasn’t just the photos that were manipulated with the help of AI.

“This is not an AI filter, [entirely] It’s AI-generated, so this person is completely different,” said the cynic. “The six fingers of your right hand, the thumb behind the phone, and this strange bright spot between the fingers of your left hand, and this strange door handle on the wall. Backgrounds are generally perspectively incorrect. Also, his body strangely blends into the background [it] seems wrong. “

Some echoed that the profiles on the profile were clearly built by an AI chatbot.

The full profile reads: “An adventurous spirit looking for a partner in crime for thrilling adventures and unforgettable memories. When you’re always motivated to explore new places and try new experiences, it’s time to go with your nephew.” I love hunting, fishing and playing games.

“Let’s spark laughter, wanderlust and true connection,” it continues. “Swipe right when you’re ready to embark on a wild and enchanting journey together!”

One reader, unimpressed, commented: “This was definitely written by AI. I’ve met many people with nearly identical profiles.”

A second agreed, saying, “He asked ChatGPT to ‘write a generic cheesy dating profile that doesn’t really say anything.'”

The Post reached out to a Tinder rep for comment.

Meanwhile, Tinder told Kennedy News that “catfish phishing is a violation of our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and members caught catfish phishing will have their profiles removed.”

“Additionally, we encourage members to look for a ‘blue checkmark’ to indicate that a member’s profile picture is authentic and verified by Tinder through the Photo Verification Program.”

AI-generated profiles found on dating apps may be scammers’ attempts to trick users into sharing personal information such as credit card information.

But as The Post previously reported, some desperate men are turning to AI to enhance their relationships with women on dating apps.

“Dating apps have always favored women, so I decided to tip the balance… I fought back by building an AI-powered bot that could swipe and chat on my behalf,” said AI. The creator of the dating program CupidBot said afterwards. He deleted a Reddit post that caused readers to debate the ethics of men using AI doppelgangers to record dates.

On the other hand, some men intentionally engage in romantic conversations with AI bots because they want a relationship.

Recently, ChatGPT’s CarynAI, a surreal dating bot, hit the market, promising lonely and lovestruck people to become a virtual girlfriend for $1 a minute and have constant conversations.

This chatbot is modeled after a real-life model, Caryn Marjory. He cloned to “cure loneliness” and at the same time make himself available to thousands of fans.

Recently, ChatGPT’s CarynAI, a surreal dating bot, hit the market, promising lonely and lovestruck people to become a virtual girlfriend for $1 a minute and have constant conversations.

More than 15,000 people have signed up to chat with CarynAI in recent months, including The Post’s Ben Kost, who briefly dated CarynAI before breaking up with him.

“All other AI bots are not based on real humans, so you can’t find them anywhere else right now,” Marjorie told the Post. “And I always feel like I’m talking to a robot. But with CarynAI, it feels like it’s talking to me, and I think that’s what makes it so unique.”
