Mark Zuckerberg's Meta is currently testing a generative AI chatbot called MetaAI on Instagram. Like other chatbots on the market, Meta AI can compose poems, generate images, and answer other questions based on a single text prompt. Notably, Meta recently started testing his AI chatbot for selected users in India and other countries.
Confirming the development in a statement to Engadget, Mehta said, “Our AI-powered generative experiences are in various stages of development, and we are publicly testing their scope in a limited capacity.” Ta.
The feature was first spotted in a report from TechCrunch, which said Meta was testing an AI chatbot in the main search bar, while other reports said the chatbot appeared in Instagram's DM search bar. Suggests. According to a report from Engadget, by clicking on the Meta AI icon, you can now talk to the chatbot directly from your DMs, just like you would chat with a friend.
Interestingly, several users shared on social media that the Meta AI chatbot could also help navigate Reels around specific topics, meaning users might no longer have to rely on Instagram searches.
What is Meta AI?
Meta AI was announced during the Meta Connect 2023 event last September, and the company seems committed to adding generative AI experiences to all social media applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
Created using Llama 2, a generative text model, and a custom model based on Meta's large-scale language model (LLM) research, Meta AI strives to provide smooth conversational interactions. Additionally, Meta has partnered with Microsoft's Bing to integrate real-time information retrieval into text-based conversations.
Meta has previously said that its AI assistants will provide valuable assistance in a variety of situations, including offering suggestions, providing entertainment, resolving disagreements, and transferring knowledge.
