Advantech introduces edge computing and AI industrial applications

Applications of AI

Advantech, a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, will highlight its latest developments at Embedded World (Nuremberg, March 10-12, 2026), with a focus this year on edge AI acceleration, robotics, and vertically enabled platforms. Visitors will find the company in the center of Hall 3, booth 339. There, Advantech will demonstrate an end-to-end edge AI solution developed in close collaboration with key silicon and technology partners such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Intel, NXP, and AMD. Live demonstrations at our booth will highlight how such collaborations lead to improved performance across the fields of robotics, industrial automation, medical devices, and secure embedded systems.

Edge AI innovation live stage

New for 2026, Advantech’s booth will have a dedicated presentation stage and will host a series of short expert talks throughout the show. In the session, visitors will explore how Advantech is helping customers accelerate AI adoption at the edge by combining silicon innovation, optimized platforms, and deep ecosystem integration.

The scheduled sessions are:

  • Tuesday, 15:00: Umar Ahmad, AI/Robotics Technical Specialist, Advantech – Edge AI Accelerator
  • Wednesday, 11:00: Innovating at the Edge with Advantech AI Accelerators and ARM Architecture, Faizan Mohammed, ARM Platform Applications Engineer
  • Wednesday, 15:00: Edge AI: Why software and hardware dependencies matter – and how to solve them, by Umar Ahmad, AI/Robotics Technical Specialist
  • Thursday, 11:00: Advantech – Edge AI Accelerator with Umar Ahmad, AI/Robotics Technical Specialist

Scalable Edge AI Demonstration – From Device to Edge Server

During the show, Advantech will be running continuous live demonstrations at its booth to explain how its Edge AI portfolio supports introductory, mid-level, and high-level AI workloads. Rather than focusing on individual products, these demos showcase complete vertically aligned solutions that combine edge AI servers, AI-enabled edge systems, AI acceleration modules, and the Advantech Edge AI SDK.

Key demonstrations range from:

  • AI-driven robotics and recognition, including scalable robot vision and multi-platform recognition pipelines
  • Edge HPC and AI training at the edge enables applications such as autonomous mobile robot (AMR) development and logistics automation
  • Device AI for medical, industrial, and smart infrastructure use cases. Introducing the latest generation of CPUs and SoCs from Advantech’s silicon partners.
  • AI acceleration at the edge from vision to voice. Demonstrate generative AI and inference on a compact, industrial-grade platform.

These demos collectively highlight the Advantech ecosystem’s ability to deliver edge AI architectures that balance performance, power efficiency, and long-term deployment requirements.

Built-in security and compliance

In addition to AI performance, Advantech emphasizes its early proactive approach to built-in security and regulatory compliance. The company will introduce CRA-compliant products, tools, and services built on IEC 62443 principles that support faster time-to-market for secure embedded systems. Partner solutions from leading authentication and security specialists Bureau Veritas, Onekey, Dekra and SGS will also be featured at the booth, demonstrating how ecosystem collaboration can help simplify compliance and strengthen device security from design to deployment.

A “vertical-first” approach to edge AI

Through all demonstrations and presentations, Advantech will emphasize its vertical market strategy with purpose-built platforms designed for applications such as robotics, industrial automation, medical devices, and mission-critical systems. This approach enables customers and partners to more efficiently move from evaluation to deployment, supported by Advantech’s powerful Local Customization Services (DMS), which provides design, integration, and configuration expertise tailored to regional and application-specific requirements.

Visitors to Embedded World 2026 can experience Advantech’s latest edge AI and robotics innovations in Hall 3, Booth 339.
