Adobe released the Firefly platform on Tuesday as a mobile app for Android and iOS. The new Firefly app comes with all native AI models from Adobe, as well as third-party models from Google and Openai. The app offers all the AI features and tools across Adobe's platform, including image and video generation, photo editing, and more. The company offers limited free credits to those in the platform's free tier, but paid subscribers will get credits to their respective plans.

In a blog post, the San Jose, California-based software giant announced the launch of the Firefly app on both Android and iOS. The company says the new platform allows users to create and edit projects using AI capabilities from anywhere. In particular, all creations created in the app are synced directly with the user's Creative Cloud account.
The Firefly app provides users with both image generation and video generation capabilities. To generate images, users can use Adobe's Firefly Image 3, Image 4, Image 4 Ultra, or Google's Image 3 and 4, or Openai's GPT image models. For video generation, there are Firefly Video or Google's VEO 2 models. Apart from this, users can also generate videos from images.
Come to photo editing, Adobe offers generated filling. This provides a generated deployment that uses AI to delete objects or add new ones and extends additional information based on prompts. In particular, if the user has already started a project on the desktop, it can continue in the app as long as it is stored in the creative cloud.
Those without a subscription are limited to 10 generation credits per month, and those with a Creative Cloud or Firefly credit subscription can use them to use the features. If you are not aware, the generated credits can be understood as tokens for using AI features. Features that use small models, such as photo editing, consume less credits compared to features that generate images and videos from scratch.
Apart from that, Adobe has also announced that it will add video functionality to its Firefly Boards platform. Uploaded video clips can now be remixed to generate new video footage using the AI-powered collaboration mood board platform available in public beta. The feature uses the company's Firefly Video model, Google's VEO 3, Luma AI's Ray2, and Pika 2.2 text-to-video models.
