Adobe expands Adobe Firefly capabilities for generative AI to include video and more. The company announced Firefly last month as “the next major evolution in AI-driven creativity and productivity.”
Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that can create images, video, audio, text, and 3D models. This is achieved by learning from existing data and using that knowledge to generate unique outputs. GenerativeAI.netAdobe is looking to leverage this technology with Firefly, a family of creative generative AI models appearing in Adobe products.
The company announced Firefly last month, starting with image generation and text effects. The first model, currently only available in beta, is trained on Adobe Stock images, open license content, and public domain content with expired copyrights.
Adobe announced the addition of generative AI to its video, audio, animation, and motion graphics design apps at the National Broadcasting Corporation (NAB) show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Monday.
In a press release, Adobe said: Functionality is immediately available. ”
With the introduction of the video, Adobe explores “different concepts” such as:
- Enhanced from text to color.
- Advanced music and sound effects.
- Beautiful fonts, text effects, graphics and logos.
- Powerful scripting and B-roll capabilities.
- Creative assistant and co-pilot.
An example of how the new video tool can be used is to input a script into an AI system and have it generate a storyboard. It also includes the ability to shoot footage and generate different background music and scenery.
