Google's Nano Banana has become one of the most beloved AI engines on social media. Users are never bored of jumping on the nano-banana trend, whether it's a 3D figurine or a 4K portrait. Now, Adobe appears to be joining this bandwagon by bringing the Gemini 2.5 Flash (Nano Banana) engine to Photoshop.
For the first time, Adobe is bringing third-party AI models to Photoshop. The company not only adds Google's Nano Banana engine, but also adds Black Forest Labs flux. 1KontextPro. Adding these models allows users to increase the number of AI generation options without leaving Photoshop. This is not the first time Nano Banana has been added to a new app. Recently, Perplexity announced that users can use this popular AI engine in WhatsApp via the Perplexity chatbot.
Users can simply select the Nano Banana engine while creating AI images via the app's generation filling feature.
Adobe claims that another advantage of bringing external models into your app is the ability to make modifications. Images generated by AI tend to have some errors. Now users can use Photoshop directly to modify the image according to their requirements.
“What makes this integration into Photoshop particularly powerful is combining model selection with Photoshop's professional grade tools to provide the ability to generate content, and quickly refine it with Photoshop accuracy and control,” Adobe VP Deepa Subramaniam said on the company's website.
Essentially, you can not only bring out your creativity with nano bananas, but you can also get the ability to make the necessary tweaks within a single app.
Adobe's own Firefly Image model will be available in Photoshop. The company claims that AI-generated filling is one of the most popular tools in the app.

Current nanobananas are limited to the production filling function.

According to Adobe's policy, it is not used to train AI models, regardless of the model you use.
Adobe has not made clear whether images created from Nano Banana can be used commercially in Photoshop. The company said: “It is the responsibility to determine whether a partner model is suitable for the project, taking into account the focus of the model, how it was trained, and whether it is safe for commercial use, and whether it is appropriate for the project.”
