Firefly for video can generate sound effects and music

image
Adobe announced Firefly. This is the gateway to generative AI. This is the family of AI models that appear in the company’s products. You can use normal language to generate new content.
Initially, the tool’s focus was on generating secure images. But Adobe is pushing more than still images now. As announced today, this tool is coming to the Creative Cloud video and audio apps.
Please note that it cannot be used to create custom videos. Not yet. Rather, it makes it easier to edit videos, add music and sound effects, and create title cards.
You can also convert scripts to storyboards. In addition, we recommend B-roll to liven up the video.
new function
A new feature lets you describe in a few words what your video should look like. Then start color grading. So, for example, you can brighten your face.
Importance of color grading
Color grading is a method used to adjust the colors and tones of a video. It is an important part of the post-production process for filmmaking and photography as it helps achieve the desired mood and look.
Adobe has tools you can use for color grading. These include sliders, color wheels, curves, etc. These can be used to create specific looks or match colors in footage shot in different lighting conditions.
Instead of using these tools, you simply tell Firefly what your video should look like and it creates a specific look.
With just a few words, this new tool can have a big impact on the overall look and feel of your videos and images. Create a consistent visual style throughout your project, enhance the mood and motion of your scene, and draw attention to specific elements within the frame.
Good color grading can make your videos and images look more professional and polished, but poor color grading can be distracting and detract from the overall quality of your production.
Firefly can also generate custom sounds and music. A simple description of how you want your captions to look will help editors create logos, subtitles, and title cards. These are skills similar to After Effects and Premier tools.
Additionally, Adobe plans to use Firefly to read scripts. Storyboards and revisualizations can be automatically generated. This will certainly be a time saver for many creators.
However, all these features are only seen in Adobe demos. So no one knows how well it actually works.
Adobe ensures that its generative AI tools are safe for commercial use. Using an image creator means you can train with a limited number of images. These images can be found in the public domain or as part of the Stock service. In that case, unlike other AI tools like Midjourney or Stable Diffusion, it’s a bit more limited.
