A reverse image search of the keyframes extracted from this video reveals a video posted on the LIV Crime YouTube channel on July 22, 2022 titled “Are you a Mormon? | Crime Patrol | “Anup Soni's Mission” After investigation, it was found that the introductory portion of the video from 3:18 to 3:50 seconds has been used in the viral video. In this original video, which is a part of the anthology series Crime Patrol, Anup Soni is seen talking about a woman named Sudha who was found dead in a temple. The video does not promote any gambling related Telegram channel. Further investigation revealed that the audio in the viral video does not have lip sync, raising suspicions that it may have been altered using an AI voice clone.
Subsequent examination of the audio using Hive Moderation AI detection tool showed that the audio in the clip is highly manipulated with a confidence score of 99.9% indicating that the audio has been generated by AI using voice cloning techniques.Further investigation of this viral video by the Deep Fake Analysis Unit (DAU) confirmed that Anup Soni's voice was generated using generative AI.
Further, on learning about the video going viral, Anup Soni clarified that this is not his voice and said that he has never promoted these channels and will file a complaint against them and urged people to remain vigilant.
