After Aamir Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has become the next victim of deepfakes. In a viral video created by artificial intelligence, Ranveer is seen supporting a political party. With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, such cases and many others are becoming more and more frequent.
Ranveer Singh went viral after a video in which he was seen promoting a political party and being interviewed after holding a fashion show in Varanasi with Kriti Sanon and Manish Malhotra. Though the video initially appeared to be real, the audio was an AI-powered clone of the actor. According to the actor's official representative, he reported the viral video to the police, who also reported the matter to the Cyber Cell. The spokesperson said that the police have filed a complaint and lodged an FIR against the accounts that were promoting deepfake videos of Ranveer Singh created by artificial intelligence.
The actor also spoke about the incident on Twitter.
On the professional front, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ajay Devgn are gearing up for the premiere of 'Singham Again'.
