SWABHI: Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (GIKI) on Wednesday launched an Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) boot camp in collaboration with Sky Electric.
The opening ceremony was attended by GIKI Rector Prof. Fazal Ahmad Khalid and Sky Electric Chairman Ashir Aziz, with participants highlighting the importance of this initiative in the context of global technological advancements.
The boot camp will continue until August 30th with the aim of imparting high-impact knowledge and skill sets to recent graduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields across the country.
According to organizers, the bootcamp aims to prepare graduates to be internationally competitive in the AI field through eight weeks (280 hours) of in-depth hands-on training under the guidance of industry leaders and AI experts.
Professor Khalid emphasized that GIKI is committed to fostering innovation and excellence in technical education. He highlighted the role of the bootcamp in preparing students and professionals to meet the evolving demands of the AI industry. Ashar Aziz shared his vision of a future where AI-trained resources will be pivotal to technological advancement and economic growth. He outlined the vast opportunities that exist in the market for individuals well-versed in AI and deep learning.
