June 5, 2024 — Nano-X Imaging, an innovative medical imaging technology company, today announced that its deep learning medical image analytics subsidiary, Nanox AI Ltd., has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to its Second Opinions online medical consultation service. Second Opinions is a platform offered by USARAD Holdings INC, a subsidiary of Nano-X Imaging Ltd. that provides remote radiology diagnostic services. The platform connects patients with radiologists and other specialists for follow-up consultations on medical diagnoses. Second Opinions integrates three of Nanox.AI's FDA 510(k) cleared AI solutions to enable patients to conveniently receive second opinions from experts across a range of medical and surgical specialties, including radiology, neurology, oncology and orthopedics. The integration of Nanox.AI's tools is aimed at facilitating early detection of chronic diseases in chest and abdominal CT scans.
- The AI Cardiac Solution (HealthCCSng) detects coronary artery calcium, an early symptom of coronary artery disease.
- The AI Bone Solution (HealthOST) assesses bone mineral density and highlights vertebral compression fractures that may indicate risk for osteoporosis.
- The AI Liver Solution (HealthFLD) measures liver density, an indication of fatty liver disease.
These AI-driven insights are then reviewed and approved by second opinion physicians and incorporated into reports for patients who submit eligible chest and abdominal CT scans.
