AIM Institute, an Omaha-based nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a diverse local tech workforce, will host its first annual BIG AI conference on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
This new event will bring together industry experts, researchers and innovators to explore the latest trends and advancements in artificial intelligence, while also providing an opportunity to dive deep into real-world applications of AI.
According to event organizers, participants will gain valuable insights from leading experts in the field of AI that will help business and technology leaders prepare for future challenges.
The one-day conference will cover:

- AI Leadership and Innovation
- AI Ethics
“This premier event will explore the key tools and strategies needed to increase operational efficiency and make a greater impact in our communities,” said Renee Franklin, president and CEO of the AIM Institute.
The keynote will feature Matt Waite, 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner and lead developer at PolitiFact.com, who will share his expertise on AI and its impact on the industry, and will feature an AI Ethics Panel made up of local and regional experts on data ethics.
Registration is limited to 300 spaces and is currently open.
Big AI will be held in conjunction with AIM's annual Heartland Developers Conference, hosted by Farm Credit Services of America. For more than 20 years, HDC has been delivering industry-leading content on Dev Ops, tech leadership, data and AI, cybersecurity and more, attracting approximately 800 attendees each year, according to a press release.
