Incorta Launches Enterprise-Grade Foundation for Private and Secure Generative AI Applications

Data analytics startup Incorta Inc. is looking to grow its presence in the generative artificial intelligence industry with the debut of a new product called Operational GenAI, which the company says can serve as the foundation for intelligent business applications.

According to the company, Operational GenAI is private and secure, integrating cutting-edge AI techniques such as Search Augmented Generative (RAG) with model serving and fine-tuning capabilities into customized on-premise hardware built by Super Micro Computer Inc.

Incorta is the creator of Operational Lakehouse, a cloud-based platform that helps companies accelerate the time it takes to make data available for analysis. The platform eliminates the need to use extract/transform/load or ETL tools to extract data from disparate systems and bring it into a centralized database. It allows you to pull information from multiple databases and systems of record, centralize it into a single repository for processing, run analytics, and visualize the results in charts.

The company says the platform is currently being tuned to handle generative AI workloads.The new Operational GenAI product integrates its flagship platform with a variety of best-of-breed open source large-scale language models, along with tools for companies to inject their own knowledge to fine-tune them for accuracy and safety.

To achieve this, the company has partnered with RAG services startup Vectara Inc. and AI pipeline company aiXplain Inc. to handle RAG and model serving and fine-tuning directly within the Operational GenAI platform, respectively. Using Supermicro's AI-optimized hardware, enterprises can keep their new generative AI data foundation in-house, ensuring privacy.

The company argues that for generative AI initiatives to be successful, they need access to up-to-date, detailed information that is not only secure but also private. Most enterprises lack this, and that's where their new Operational GenAI service comes in. The service gives enterprises access to unlimited data to fully automate generative AI applications in a secure, customizable environment where data privacy and governance standards are always adhered to.

Osama Elkadi, co-founder and CEO of Inculta, said the partnership with Vectorra and aiXplain uniquely combines a company's operational data with unstructured information. “This gives our customers access to unlimited, private, fine-tuned generative AI solutions on top of a foundation of data that's best for AI, at the click of a button,” he said.

Hassan Sawaf, founder and CEO of AiXplain, said that generative AI is evolving into a world of “agents” that can drive innovation and operational efficiency in hundreds of very specific areas. He emphasized that these agents are all based on LLMs and are trained to perform specific tasks at a very good level, but to do so, companies need the right platform. That's why he likens Operational GenAI to a master AI agent that directs the execution of other AI agents.

“With aiXplain, Vectara's RAG and Incorta's Operational Lakehouse platform, applications can seamlessly become AI agents controlled by Operational GenAI,” he said.
