Explosive demand for AI has created a shortage in the supply of high-performance memory chips, and the shortage is likely to continue this year, analysts say.

SK Hynix and Micron, the world's largest memory chip suppliers, are out of stock of high-bandwidth memory chips for 2024 and nearly sold out for 2025, the companies said.
