Los Angeles—Cineverse has debuted its previously announced new content search and discovery service, cineSearch, in public beta.
Cineverse said cineSearch, which can be accessed at cineSearch.com, is designed to redefine how viewers interact with movies and TV shows. It includes an AI video advisor called Ava that has the personalities of your favorite movie and TV enthusiasts and makes personalized recommendations to help you decide what to watch quickly, easily, and entertainingly. Cineverse announced plans in February to develop cineSearch as part of a partnership with Google Cloud.
Cineverse followed this up by announcing partnerships with Vionlabs, Datatonic, and Gracenote, a Nielsen company. These partnerships enable cineSearch to provide a comprehensive contextual understanding of the content being filmed (based on color, emotion, mood, environment, etc.). It also provides access to data from millions of TV shows and movies, along with guardrails and security best practices to ensure cineSearch is safe, robust, and ethical.
