Google introduced Google AI Essentials, a self-paced course designed to help people in a variety of roles and industries learn AI skills and improve productivity. This course does not require any programming skills or experience and is open to anyone.
To ensure equal access to AI training, Google launched the $75 million AI Opportunity Fund to train more than 1 million Americans in critical AI skills. The first recipients of the fund will be the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) and Goodwill Industries International.
The AI Essentials course teaches users how to leverage AI tools to develop ideas and content, make informed decisions, and speed up daily tasks.
Users can learn from Google's AI experts and gain hands-on experience using AI. Once completed, you'll receive a certificate from Google that you can share with your professional network.
The platform works with employers, educational institutions, and nonprofits to help people learn practical skills using AI. Citigroup, Miami Dade College, and Stanford Digital Education are already participating and are working to incorporate AI Essentials into their workforce learning and development programs.
