AI will replace human programmers in 5 years

AI News

In a recent interview with Peter H. Diamandis on the Moonshots and Mindsets podcast, Stability AI founder and CEO Emad Mostaque made a bold prediction: “In five years, there will be no programmers.”

Mostak’s vision of the future is shaped by the transformative power of artificial intelligence, which he believes will play an increasingly dominant role in shaping our world.

Mostaque’s claims are backed up by GitHub data, which reveals that a staggering 41% of all code in existence today is generated by AI.

Stability AI’s open source image generator, Stable Diffusion, surpassed cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum on GitHub in just three months. These statistics prove the growing prominence and fascination of AI.

Stability AI is not content with being at the forefront of AI development. The company has ambitious projects in areas ranging from protein folding and DNA analysis to language models and audiovisual data processing.

Mostak envisions creating the building blocks of “Society OS,” a comprehensive AI infrastructure that can be personalized to reflect an individual’s story and perspective.

Looking ahead, Mostak predicts a revolution in communication and information access. He believes that within a year his AI models, like ChatGPT, will be installed directly on mobile phones, obviating the need for an internet connection. This advancement could fundamentally change the way we interact and open up new possibilities.

Stability AI is tackling these issues head-on, amidst concerns over the impact of advances in AI on society. By decentralizing AI and making it accessible to individuals and communities, the company aims to ensure that his AI technology works for the good of people, not against them. I’m here.

Mostak highlights Stability AI’s commitment to transparency and democratization of access to AI, as evidenced by the open-sourcing of language models at scale.

Job security is also an area of concern when it comes to the rise of AI. However, Mostak is as optimistic as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. He sees AI not as a threat to replace humans, but as a tool to enhance human potential.

According to Mostak, AI has the potential to change the world for the better by providing humans with valuable information.
