What will the future of education look like with AI and machine learning?

The AI boom is sweeping every sector and industry on the planet. Most companies and industries are leveraging AI and machine learning in some way. Those that don’t are almost certainly planning to do so in the future.
There is one particular area that stands out in the crowd. It’s education. We’ve seen the value of things like Chat GPT in the workplace, but what does this new technology mean for education?
Will that be a good thing or a bad thing? What does AI technology and machine learning mean for the future of education? I would like to introduce my concerns.
personalized learning experience
Students may see their education improved thanks to AI models in schools and universities. Artificial intelligence retrieves and analyzes data from students to provide recommendations based on learning preferences.
We could have educational institutions where each student gets a personalized learning experience instead of all doing the same. As a result, you can work in a way that appeals to your own learning style, rather than forcing everyone to fit into the same mold.
This is an interesting idea that has the potential to improve the educational experience of all children. Moreover, children have already had years of education, so pooling all the necessary data to make these suggestions is not difficult. Many universities already have advanced ERP solutions that can provide reporting and analytics to understand student performance. This technology already exists. I just need some time to merge things so that I can get a report and offer suggestions from there.
24/7 virtual assistance
The idea of virtual assistants is not uncommon in the world. Most organizations have these, but you don’t see them often in education. For those who don’t know, a virtual assistant is a remote worker who helps businesses and organizations. However, with the development of AI technology, this situation is changing. Instead of real humans, there are chatbots that can answer highly complex questions.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the AI beacon, Chat GPT, is a perfect example of an AI virtual assistant. Schools would be foolish not to leverage this technology to improve learning for all students.
Imagine a school website with a chatbot running on Chat GPT technology. When students are doing homework or need help after hours, they just go to the site and ask. You will get an immediate response and your question will be resolved. For kids who have assignments the next day and don’t know where to start, this can take a lot of stress out. It also reduces the stress of teachers who are chronically underpaid and who work a lot of overtime anyway.
Automatic grading of assignments
When it comes to assignments and teacher overwork, the concept of automatic grading may bring great comfort to many.
Instead of spending hours reading reports or reading the same answers over and over, teachers can use machine learning and AI to do just that. Examples have already been confirmed through online exams. Many educational institutions offer online tests that students can take and receive instant grades. AI technology knows the correct answer and can detect if someone chose it. Indeed, this seems to be the most common in multiple-choice tests.
In the future, we may see progress in this area. Teachers can receive essays and longer assignments, run them through an automated grading model, and receive instant feedback. Grading is impartial because it is machine graded, so there is never any unconscious bias by the teacher.
Again, automatic grading gives teachers more time to focus on other activities, such as planning lessons or improving the syllabus.

Content generation for teachers
Following on from the above, artificial intelligence may make content creation easier for teachers. Now, if you go to a site like Chat GPT, you can have a full day of lessons planned for you. They will provide suggestions, structures, etc.
Remember, this is AI in its early stages. These systems have already been improved and are becoming more capable. It is therefore not beyond comprehension to imagine a world in which teachers generate course content entirely through AI platforms. Once they enter a few instructions, the entire presentation is born. Or you can use AI to generate educational videos for students.
The question is do you want to see this? There is a line to be crossed between AI assisting teachers and easing their workload to doing everything for them. Would you be comfortable if you had a child and learned that her teacher was using her AI to plan and create all her lessons? If AI does everything, what are teachers getting paid for?
This may change the educational scene, so we need to keep an eye on it in the future. It’s perfectly fine to use artificial intelligence to come up with lesson ideas and to inspire content. We have a problem when people start using it to create lessons and syllabi.
Student work generated by AI
Similarly, what about AI-generated content for students? I admit that there are
To be honest, I can see why. Students now have access to amazing technology that answers all their questions instantly. You can ask the AI system to write an essay title and create a completely unique essay for you. Instead of spending weeks on this, the entire issue is created in seconds. Why not do this and then submit?
Some students argue that this isn’t even a form of cheating, it’s just a way to work smarter, not harder. Interestingly, this is a very easy way to identify students who use AI and those who don’t. Anyone who thinks this is not cheating obviously does it all the time.
Either way, AI-generated student assignments are a big deal. It makes life difficult for teachers and professors, and it completely devalues the entire curriculum. Education is meaningless if it seems that students are not learning anything. That’s the crux of the challenge. If all assignments were suddenly AI-generated, many students could grow up and graduate without learning anything properly.
Advanced Plagiarism Check
But wait, there is hope!
The same tools used to create content can also be used to detect plagiarism and more. We already have a plagiarism tool that takes a piece of content and compares it to everything else that already exists. You can immediately tell if someone stole the work or wrote it naturally.
Schools use this all the time for assignments, but with the advent of AI content, more advanced solutions are needed. Ironically, AI can be used to detect AI. People are already working on systems that automatically detect whether content is AI-generated or organic. This is a great way to keep students from cheating on their essays.
In addition, it helps people in high positions to evaluate teachers. Checking class plagiarism and AI content can prevent the teacher from going too far in creating her AI content. It’s interesting that this technology creates both problems and solutions.

Improved accessibility for students
Finally, education for certain students could change forever thanks to artificial intelligence.
Students with learning disabilities or disabilities will have access to tools that make their work easier. The best example of this is a deaf student. You can use devices with speech recognition software, such as phones and laptops. Just that way, students can see the teacher’s words appear on the page and read and understand exactly what they are saying.
AI tools may also have the ability to curate lessons based on the needs of students with learning difficulties. Returning to my initial point about personalized learning experiences. Knowing what your child’s main problems are, you can develop lesson plans to address them while providing an overall better experience.
The future of education will be hugely positive thanks to AI
Overall, the future of education looks positive with AI technology. Most of the points discussed were overwhelmingly good. For both students and teachers, it is the only issue related to content creation ideas. However, that fix was already in place before the AI education boom took off.
Overall, we are moving to a world where education is more personalized, students are better supported, and teachers don’t have to spend so much time on the core parts of their work. Some worry that education will shift to his 100% online thanks to AI and schools will be obsolete. This is unlikely to happen. As with most use cases for artificial intelligence, the best results are achieved when used as a tool rather than a complete replacement.
