Polygon joins Solana and Etherscan to launch Copilot, an AI assistant that integrates ChatGPT to provide users with a variety of features.
Ethereum scaling platform Polygon has entered the artificial intelligence (AI) race and launched an AI assistant called Polygon Copilot. Copilot’s interface integrates OpenAI’s GPT 4, giving users an easy way to interact with the product using a simple language.
The official release states that Polygon Copilot will help level the playing field for new and experienced users. Polygon also touts the usefulness of his Copilot to a wide range of users.
“Trained on the Polygon protocol’s extensive documentation, Polygon Copilot provides valuable insight, analysis, and guidance across many aspects of the ecosystem. Whether you want to understand the basics or explore advanced capabilities, Polygon Copilot caters for all levels of users.”
Polygon segments Copilot into different “personas” to accommodate each user’s experience level. For example, Copilot has a beginner persona with simple language for users new to the Polygon ecosystem. It also provides guidance on some ecosystem components for newbies to help them build on the basics on the platform. Additionally, there is an advanced persona for users and developers with experience and knowledge of mint, smart contracts, coding, and some advanced features.
Finally, the Degen persona is for those interested in analytics and insights on wallets, NFT collections and decentralized applications (dApps).
Protection for transparency and growth with Polygon Copilot
Polygon limits responses provided by Copilot to prevent spamming. These responses are limited to reduce the AI assistant’s computational load. However, Polygon does give credit to users who share feedback or contribute to social tasks. Additional credits may also be available for a few lucky users.
The Polygon team is committed to Copilot transparency. The assistant is designed to include sources of information for easy review by the user. Additionally, Copilot can take the interaction a step further by suggesting questions related to the initial query, engaging users in similar subjects or areas of interest.
Polygon added that future versions of Copilot will support more personas than the announced three. Additionally, users can extend the functionality of her AI assistant to enjoy plugins that include all levels of task automation.
Web3 AI Assistant
Solana Labs has released an AI plugin powered by ChatGPT. According to Solana, the plugin can help users buy and list non-fungible tokens (NFTs), interpret data, find collections by lowest price, and validate transactions. Additionally, this feature works in tandem with his RPC node that can read data from the blockchain and answer user questions. For example, anyone can ask a user to find his NFT available in the price range of her SOL token held.
Another AI-powered feature is the recently announced code reader by Ethereum block explorer Etherscan, which integrates ChatGPT. Code Reader, currently in beta mode, helps users identify the source code of smart contracts “by generating AI prompts for specific code sections or functions.” However, Etherscan warns that users should not take the generated information at face value or rely on it as evidence.
