Your role:
Senior researchers in AI and computational chemistry play a key role in shaping AI-enabled drug discovery (AIDD) projects that aim for total drug discovery solutions from design to delivery. Working closely with other scientists, employing artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques and other algorithmic approaches, he builds key analytical and predictive modules used in SaaS-based drug design solutions. and manipulate reaction automation. A team that supports the link between drug design and drug delivery.
In this role, you will typically be involved in activities such as:
- Building a computational chemistry engine for drug discovery based on ML/AL and other procedural algorithms
- Curate large structure-activity relationship (SAR) datasets and build predictive models from them
- Keep up with the latest developments in computational chemistry and machine-driven drug discovery with our publications and improve existing products based on them.
- Apply ML/AL to classical computational chemistry approaches in molecular mechanics, molecular dynamics, protein folding, and more.
- Data documentation, data curation, model building process
- Work closely with product teams to support your cheminformatics needs
- Analyze complex AIDD problems and clarify solution ideas based on cheminformatics and AI/ML approaches
- Collaborate with potential customers and business teams to craft solutions tailored to business needs
- Provide proof-of-concepts to test ideas and communicate ideas with solution teams
- Follow an agile development approach in building PoCs and core modules
Who are you:
To be an ideal candidate for this role, you must:
- Possess excellent working knowledge of computational chemistry, drug discovery process and cheminformatics
- Familiarity with data science tools such as data analytics, data processing, statistics, AI/ML, etc., and ability to use them to create working PoCs for demonstration purposes. This means hands-on, in-depth programming skills. Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, etc.
- Ability to build AI/ML models for SAR endpoints starting from raw data
- Curiosity, innovation, and a strong desire to revolutionize the drug discovery process
- Ability to work with AIDD customers to extract needs and design solutions from there
- Develop excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work collaboratively with others within and across teams
- Familiarity with agile development processes is desirable
Minimum qualifications:
- PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or Related Fields
- Minimum of 2 years of industry and field experience
