Alibaba (New York Stock Exchange: Bubba) (OTCPK:BABAF) is incorporating its latest artificial intelligence (AI) system into messaging app DingTalk and meeting assistant Tingwu, Bloomberg News reported.
A large-scale language model (LLM) called Tongyi Qianwen, developed by Alibaba Cloud, is currently The new version of the assistant was named Tongyi Tingwu, the report added.
The latest version, which parses audio and video files and generates text summaries, is available for trial.
The technology will also be integrated into messaging app DingTalk.
Following the release of Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Chinese companies such as Alibaba, SenseTime (OTCPK:SNTMF) and Baidu (BIDU) have launched their own generative AI services.
Alibaba announced LLM in April, noting that its cloud computing arm Alibaba Cloud would roll out its own ChatGPT-like product, Tongyi Qianwen, with Chinese and English capabilities.
The convergence of AI technology and meeting assistants is aimed at increasing the number of videos and audios consumed every day, the report added, citing Jingren Zhou, head of technology for Alibaba’s cloud division. .
A recent study found that Chinese organizations launched 79 LLMs in the past three years to boost their AI technology capabilities.
