SEOUL – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha held a series of meetings with South Korean technology executives and investors to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in future technologies.
Al-Swaha, accompanied by Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Governor Haitham Al-Ohari and Saudi Cybersecurity, Programming and Drone Federation Chairman Faisal Al-Qamisi, explored partnerships with South Korean companies in the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, cloud computing and software.
Alswaha began the effort by participating in an expanded dialogue session with the Korea Software Industry Association (KOSA), chaired by Jeong Hee-jo and attended by representatives from several Korean companies.
Discussions focused on partnership opportunities in artificial intelligence, software, cloud computing, the development of digital government services, strengthening integration between companies from both countries, and developing digital talent.
He also met with leaders of Samsung Electronics and discussed expanding cooperation in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure and sixth generation (6G) technology, as well as localizing advanced technologies and developing national capabilities, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for artificial intelligence.

Mr. Alswaha concluded the meeting by speaking with a select group of Korean investors and technology industry leaders. Discussions focused on building high-value partnerships between the two countries’ technology ecosystems, expanding joint investment opportunities, and connecting Saudi companies and talent with South Korean expertise in artificial intelligence, software, and advanced technologies.
The meeting is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to expand international partnerships with the world’s leading technology companies, attract high-value technology and investment, and strengthen its innovation ecosystem.
