Nolan went on to say, “That doesn’t mean every aspect of technology is useless or pointless, but it’s just coming at the wrong time in filmmaking.
“After years of moving toward highly virtual environments, we’re seeing a renewed interest in more tactile, more realistic forms of storytelling,” he said, candidly speaking about his observations.
Christopher is excited about the future of film with the rise of a new generation of directors, stating, “I think film is extremely important, essential, and always changing. There are so many great young voices in film who are making this medium their own and moving it forward.”
Fellow director Guillermo del Toro recently spoke out about his concerns that AI is leading the world to the brink of “cinematic literacy.”
