Bellevue startup Auger has raised $50 million in Series B funding, bringing the company’s total funding to $150 million.
Founded by former Amazon executive Dave Clark and his wife Lee Ann Clark, the company uses artificial intelligence to help companies make faster supply chain decisions. In a recent GeekWire article, Clark reportedly said that while today’s AI can generate insights, running a supply chain requires a level of expertise for which general-purpose AI is not built.
As a result, Auger has developed software specifically designed to understand how supply chains work and automatically make routine decisions. According to the GeekWire article, most other similar software alerts companies when a problem occurs and waits for someone to take action.
When a supplier misses a shipment, the platform can identify the shortage, decide which customers to prioritize, move inventory where it’s needed, and update existing systems before employees intervene.
This approach is already being used at sports retailer Fanatics, where Auger controls about 85% of supply chain decisions.
The company also works with multiple companies through pilot programs and contract negotiations, and was recently named a Premier Supply Chain Partner for Microsoft Fabric.
Auger plans to continue expanding as it acquires new customers, and Clark has set a goal of having half of the U.S. GCP flowing through its platform by 2030.
